Bello~! I’m Yvonne, or you can call me Shermaine!

Those were the days, I only travel in style, fly with the best, stay at the best, ate the finest, which pretty much makes me a typical tourist. In 2012, a dear friend passing, impacted me emotionally that my life took a drastic changed. I wanted to be a traveller instead of a tourist. I want to see the world. 

“Love yourself first, and all things will fall in place later.”

Paying it forward, especially to those that once shows generosity to complete stranger like me. So I guess writing a blog is a good way to start, not in the eye of a foreigner but a local. Bought my first backpack and started backpacking adventures.
No more traveling in style, no more diva. Just me, my backpack and an open attitude.

I’m terrified of heights (and I still am). Freaked out when I’m 7 stories or higher. But now, I hiked a couple of hills, mountains and volcanoes in East Asia, Europe, South America and most recently into rock climbing!

I can’t swim. I will be gasping for air after a lap. And now, I had logged over 200+ dives, some of the BEST dive sites in the world, like Galapagos!

I want to see the world, and I am bringing you with me. 🙂 Someone who loves traveling like everyone else but with a shoestring budget. Not because I cannot afford it but my belief:

The best way to see the world is putting yourself in circumstances.
